Four Spooky Recipes to Celebrate Halloweekend!
It’s that time of year again - when the cobwebs come out, the lights go low, and cocktails get creepy. Whether you’re hosting a costume party, having a few friends over for scary movie night, or just looking for a reason to break out the glitter, these four Halloween-inspired cocktails will cast a delicious spell on your guests.
Purple People Eater
A little eerie, a little sparkly — this one’s a showstopper. Butterfly Pea Gin gives it that purple glow that looks straight out of a cauldron. You’ll need:
- 45mL Butterfly Pea Gin
- 15mL Lemon Juice
- 15mL Sugar Syrup
- Lemonade, to top
- Sugar, for the rim
- Gummy eyeball, to garnish 👁️
To make:
Rim a short glass with sugar and fill with ice. Add Butterfly Pea Gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup, then top with lemonade. Stir well and finish with a gummy eyeball for that spooky touch.
Devil’s Margarita
A fiery twist on a classic, this cocktail packs a punch - and maybe a little bite. Our Carolina Reaper-infused Chilli Vodka turns this into a drink for the brave (or the foolish).
You’ll need:
- 30mL Agave Spirit
- 15mL Chilli Vodka
- 30mL Lime Juice
- 15mL Orangecello (or Triple Sec + 15mL Sugar Syrup)
- Tajin, for the rim
- Chillis, for garnish 🔥
To make:
Rim your glass with tajin, then stick two small chillis on top as devil horns. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake well, and strain into your prepared glass. Sip carefully — it’s wickedly good.
Witches Brew
A mystical mix of citrus and bubbles, this one’s perfect for something light, bright, and magically blue.
You’ll need:
- 60mL Limoncello
- 15mL Blue Curacao
- Prosecco + Soda Water, to top
- Apple slice, cut into a ghost shape 👻 - To make:
Fill a wine glass with ice. Add Limoncello and Blue Curacao, then top with a mix of Prosecco and soda water. Garnish with your spooky ghost apple slice — and maybe a bit of dry ice if you’re feeling theatrical.
Vampire’s Kiss
Sweet, sinister, and sparkling — this one’s bound to draw attention (and maybe a few souls). It glows red under the light and tastes like a tropical dream.
You’ll need:
- 45mL Yuzu Vodka (or Citrus Vodka)
- 60mL Pineapple Juice
- Soda Water, to top
- 1 tsp Cranberry Juice
- Edible silver glitter + Maraschino cherry
To make:
Add vodka and pineapple juice to a glass with ice, then top with soda. Carefully layer a teaspoon of cranberry juice on top, sprinkle with edible glitter, and finish with a maraschino cherry. Watch it shimmer red like blood in the glass.
Whether you’re mixing up something sweet, spicy, or spooky, these cocktails will make your Halloweekend one to remember.
